Am I the only one old enough to remember opening the toy section for the Sears Wishbook catalog and circling everything I was going to ask Santa for?
From time to time, people will ask me “Is there any little something you’d want for a special occasion?” Holidays, birthdays, whatever, I’ve always kept a kind of personal “wish list” of little trinkets I find all over the web, and when I finally acquire them, people usually ask, “Where’d you get that? I want one!”
In the interest of not sounding like I’m asking for things while at the same time providing actual suggestions, here’s where I’ll drop the specific hints towards my own need for the materialistic; do with it what thou wilt.

Thanks! I found another cane similar to my last one at a local Spencer’s, but it was shoddier than my good one; the head piece practically came off in my hand, so I guess the later ones turned out crappy. That prompted me to start looking for an actual metal-tipped skull cane for a reasonable price (silvery only; never a big fan of yellow gold or brass).
Speaking of silver-skulled canes, a very fine one arrived in the mail today. Well, what do you know about that?! Guess I’ll just cross that off the list…
